The President today appointed John F. Herrick, Jr., of Ohio, as Special Assistant to the President for Advance. Mr. Herrick would succeed Spencer E. Geissinger.
Since 1989 Mr. Herrick has served as Assistant Press Secretary at the White House in Washington, DC. Prior to this, he served as Press Advance Representative at the White House from January 1989 to October 1989; press advance representative for the Bush/Quayle campaign from 1987 to 1988; and intern with the Office of the Vice President in 1986.
Mr. Herrick graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in 1988. Mr. Herrick was born November 2, 1965, in Cleveland, OH. He resides in Arlington, VA.
